A little success

Time for another thing I've made few years ago. It was the first thing I've made using a BurdaStyle pattern. I remember when I bought few Burda Magazines and spendt hours thinking about all the outfits I'll make. Most of the patterns were too difficult for me, but one of them seemed to be perfect to start with.

A 13 years old version of me immediately knew what to make. I found this blue flannel in my granny's fabric stash and picked pattern #116a from Burda Magazine 11/2011. It's a perfect pattern for beginners. Skirt has a lapped zipper and few pleats. Sewing was really easy, I only needed some help with a zip. The only thing I've changed is a waistline - it shouldn't be topstiched. I've found pretty woolen fabric that would be perfect for this pattern. Maybe that will be my next project.

This skirt may not be a work of art, but it's still my little success. Not only it was the first time I used Burda Style pattern, but photos of it were published in Polish edition of Burda Magazine.
